Come covoni di grano vi accoglie in sé.
Vi batte finché non sarete spogli.
Vi staccia per liberarvi dai gusci.
Vi macina per farvi neve.
Vi lavora come pasta fin quando non siate cedevoli.
E vi affida alla sua sacra fiamma perché siate il pane sacro della mensa di Dio.
Tutto questo compie in voi l’amore, affinché possiate conoscere i segreti del vostro cuore e in questa conoscenza farvi frammento del cuore della vita.
Ma se per paura cercherete nell’amore unicamente la pace e il piacere,
Allora meglio sarà per voi coprire la vostra nudità e uscire dall’aia dell’amore,
Nel mondo senza stagioni, dove riderete ma non tutto il vostro riso e piangerete, ma non tutte le vostre lacrime.
L’amore non da nulla fuorché sé stesso e non attinge che da se stesso.
L’amore non possiede né vorrebbe essere posseduto;
Poiché l’amore basta all’amore.
Quando amate non dovreste dire:” Ho Dio nel cuore “, ma piuttosto, ” Io sono nel cuore di Dio “.
E non crediate di guidare l’amore, perché se vi ritiene degni è lui che vi guida.
L’amore non vuole che compiersi.
